IPL Auction 2023 Live Updates: England’s Sam Curran and Australia’s Cameron Green shattered the all-time Indian Premier league (IPL) auction record as they were picked respectively for Rs 18.50 crore and Rs 17.50 crore by Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians. Two other England stars Ben Stokes and Harry Brook also went for high prices as Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad picked them for Rs 16.25 crore and Rs 13.25 crore respectively. West Indies wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran was sold to Lucknow Supergiants for Rs 16 crore while South Africa’s Heinrich Klaasen has been picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 5.25 crore. SRH also bought Mayank Agarwal For Rs 8.25 crore. Among the pacers, Reece Topley was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 1.90 crore. England spinner Adil Rashid was smartly picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 2 crore. Kane Williamson has been sold to Gujarat Titans for Rs 2 crore. This year’s auction will see 405 players going under the hammer. Only 87 slots available to the teams.

    IPL Auction 2023: Mayank Markande goes to SRH!

    Mayank Markande has been sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for an amount of 50 lakh and with it, the spinners’ set ends here, but highlight of the phase was wicketkeeper batter Nicholas Pooran going to Lucknow Super Giants for 16 crore. The side already has KL Rahul and yet they paid such a big amount for Pooran. These biddings are hard to predict and decipher at times.

    Kusal Mendis and Tom Banton are unsold while Delhi Capitals have bought Phil Salt for 2 crore. While Kusal had set a base price of 50 lakh for himself, that of Banton was 2 crore. Meanwhile, Salt was sold at his base price only.

    Another star all-rounder Ben Stokes is under the hammer at the moment. He has started at his base price of 2 crore and the bidding is currently at 7.50 with LSG making the last bid. The latest bid is 13.50 crore from LSG. SRH are at the other end. 14.75 is the bid from SRH now and LSG make it 15. After a big battle between LSG and SRH, CSK entered the bidding war and secured the services of Ben Stokes for 16.25.

This is going great for Green! It’s 17.50 now with MI making the last bid because DC had crossed them after that. However, now DC have stopped. No other bidders and MI secure Cameron Green for 17.5 crore.
